WE BELIEVE IN PRAYER

2nd Street Community Church believes in the power of God who hears and answers prayer. Among examples given in the Bible are events in the life of King David; in the account of the birth of Samuel to Hannah; in the experience of the early followers of Jesus in the book of Acts, and several mentions by the Apostle Paul in his letters to the churches, as well as in the life of Jesus.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and

supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made

known to God.” (PHILIPPIANS 4:6)

EMAIL PRAYER TEAM

There is an e-mail prayer team of more than forty persons who receive requests transmitted through and from the church office. Anyone who has a need for people to pray can contact the Church Office by email HERE ... or by phone at 503.538.9761 and the request will be distributed by this means.

“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give

thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (FIRST

THESSALONIANS 5: 16-18)

Participants in the prayer team may also be involved in special prayer ministry including laying on of hands and anointing. Persons desiring such ministry should contact the church office, Pastor Gregg HERE, or any Elder from the Elders page on our website.

“If ... My people who are called by My name humble them-

selves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked

ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will

heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive

to the prayer offered in this place.” (SECOND CHRONICLES
